Happy New Year Brethren!

Welcome to the first edition of the St Nicholas Lodge Bugle and on behalf of our new Worshipful Master, Roger Kaye, may we wish you a very happy and healthy new year.

Our first meeting of the year is always near to New Years Day and we had the pleasure of balloting for two new members, Mr Alex Blackman and Mr Heath Samples, proposed by W. Bro Chris Blackman and seconded by W. Bro John White. The ballot was favourable and we look forward to initiating them later in the year!

Next on the agenda was a presentation of a grand lodge certificate to Bro. Andy Street by W. Bro Howard Newton of Leopold Lodge, who gave a very informative and interesting explanation which connected the certificate to the furniture and jewels in the lodge.

The ceremony was attended by 6 visitors from 3 lodges. Following the meeting the brethren adjourned to The Crescent Hotel for the festive board. A fine meal was had and the brethren enjoyed their first festive board of 2024.
