Dear Brethren,

It’s now April, the clocks have changed, the evenings are longer and spring is definitely in evidence all around us. St Nicholas Lodge was very much in full bloom at our regular meeting on 3rd April, where we welcomed three new members to the lodge – even our Treasurer joked that he would need a police escort on the way home!

The evening was attended by 48 masons including 25 visitors from 7 different lodges, which is the highest number we have had for a regular meeting in ten years! We even had a visitor from the Science Fiction and Fantasy Lodge 10016 in Burton on Trent. He was greeted with the phrase ‘Live Long and Prosper’ from Star Trek! This is testament to the hard work been put in by the brethren to build strong foundations for the future.
