What’s It All About? – what it means to be a Freemason

Joining the St Nicholas Lodge was one of the best things I have ever done. It has given me structure and purpose.

It has helped me develop my skills, knowledge and my understanding of Freemasonry.

I have made many new friends and reconnected with some older ones. I enjoy the more formal side of Masonry, the ritual, dress code, and meetings, etc, but also enjoy the many social activities and events our Lodge organises, some formal and some less so.

In Masonry, there are people from every walk of life but in the Lodge we are all equal and always help and encourage each other. I wanted to give something back to society and to help those less fortunate that myself and through our charitable structure we are able to help many local organisations, such as food banks, etc.

I wish I had joined the St Nicholas Lodge many years earlier.
