Welcome to the February edition of the St Nicholas Lodge Bugle.

Our recent meeting was the raising to the third degree of Bro Alex Blackman. Bro. Blackman, who was first initiated in April 2024, answered the third-degree questions faultlessly and with confidence. A bright future in Freemasonry awaits!

Our Worshipful Master, Scott Davison led the way with a first-class ceremony. We were delighted to welcome to Worshipful Brothers from Leopold Lodge 1760, who joined in the ceremony. W. Bro John Barley stood in for our W. Bro John White who ably did the raising. The traditional history, tracing board and signs was given by W. Bro Tony Dyer, who was excellent and delivered in an informative and interesting way.

The working tools were delivered word perfectly by our very own Senior Deacon, Bro. Nev Chambers who also took picture of the evening which can be seen below.

The ceremony was attended by 11 visitors from 4 lodges and as always they were warmly welcomed and received. A successful ballot was also held for Mr Graeme Needham who will be initated in March.

The festive board was well attended and despite the early start and a third degree, we managed to finish at 9:45!
