Dear Brethren

A spring was in our step on Wednesday as we conducted our second initiation ceremony of the year and welcomed our new made brother, Jay Williamson-Jones, proposed by Bro. Lee Holmes and seconded by our Worshipful Master, Roger Kaye.

Bro. Williamson-Jones, an ex-serviceman and now a merchant seaman working on the off-shore wind farm, conducted himself in military fashion. He is studying for his Captaincy exams at the moment, so he enjoyed a welcome night off from his studies and time at sea. We were delighted to welcome him in to the St Nicholas Lodge and we hope you have many happy years in Freemasonry.

The evening was attended by 13 visitors from 3 lodges and they were treated to an excellent ceremony. The entrusting was delivered by W. Bro. Ron T Penny, the North East Corner done by Bro. Tony Luddon, the Working Tools by Bro. James Hayward, and the Charge by W. Bro. Jamie Wallis.

We also had a ballot for a new joining member who will hopefully join us in April.
